Pure Solitude
Original Artwork by BoStar
Some places never really leave us.
For BoStar, some of his happiest childhood memories were made at his grandparents’ farm, tucked high atop a mountain. Pure Solitude grew from those memories—and from the imagined feeling that the people who helped make those moments so special might still be looking down upon a peaceful landscape like this one.
Rendered in chalk on card stock, the piece carries a softness that feels almost dreamlike. It is less about capturing one exact place than preserving a feeling: stillness, distance, family, and the comfort of returning in your mind to somewhere that once felt completely safe.
BoStar describes the inspiration simply:
“Some of my happiest moments growing up were at my grandparents’ farm — up at the top of a mountain. I was imagining my grandparents looking down on this scene.”
That personal connection transforms Pure Solitude from a landscape into a memory—one that invites the viewer to think about their own quiet places, the people they miss, and the moments they wish they could step back into.
For a collector drawn to artwork with a story behind it, Pure Solitude offers something intimate: a small original work carrying a much larger sense of home.
