WELCOME AVILA- Our Newest Team Member!

We are so excited to announce our new Connection Director at InmateCreate.com!

Avila will be focusing on linking with people and organizations who share our passion for positivity.

Avila is a working mom who has a close relative in prison. Through the experience of seeing her family deal with incarceration, she has developed a desire to support people who are choosing to change their path from dark to light. Although she has a full plate – kids, hubby, work, and church involvement – she sees the value in contributing to a cause that brings hope to those who need it most.

When we first started talking with Avila about joining the team she said, “Being a part of the mission and vision of Inmate Create is exciting because it will allow me to help people who are working to create a better future for themselves.  If I can help make that happen, I think I should!” 

Ever since, she has been helping get the word out about our great designers and our mission. Going forward her main roles will deal with social media, blog posts and connecting through email with other supporters and groups that are already advocating for incarcerated people.

As many of you know, Inmate Create was founded by an incarcerated artist and is run by a dedicated team of family, friends and supporters who want to help prisoners who are choosing creativity over crime. The past year has been an exciting proof of concept, showing that there’s a huge need to help artists in prison. We need all the help we can get in spreading the word about the current artists on the site and about our mission.
