One of our favorite things to see at InmateCreate is when artists link up to collaborate on design projects.
It’s even better when the collab benefits a great organization through the GiveByDesign page.
That’s why the Dripp’n in Grace design is so special. Here’s the back story from the designer himself…
“I was at chapel one Sunday when the rap choir performed an original song. The song talked about the richness of God’s grace and how he covers us with blessing when we follow him. I had this image in my mind of a Cuban chain with a diamond encrusted pendant that said “GRACE”… kind of like showing how God’s grace is the ultimate drip – better than the finest fashion or jewelry.”
“I talked to the brother who wrote the song – J. Anthony – and asked him if we could team up to get the design on InmateCreate.com. I have a brand called GeeksOnFleek on the site, so I already knew how to get designs up. He was all for it, and we decided we wanted all our profits to be donated to one of the churches that has ministered powerfully to us both – Laborers of the Harvest.”
“Once we were on the same page, the rest was pretty easy: I drew up a pencil sketch of my concept, got J. Anthony’s go ahead, and mailed it out to InmateCreate. I got the BASIC Activation package paid, and then their graphic design guys HOOKED IT UP! They took my concept sketch and put color to it to make the finished product. I think it’s absolute FIRE!”
“I love how a song written inside prison walls can have an impact so far beyond just the men who hear it at chapel. This design and the lyrics that inspired it are already reaching people we will never even meet. We can do good and benefit others even from inside a dark place.”
“We just want to thank everyone who has bought the design and shared our story!”
